I'm a game designer and, ever since I was a little kid, I've been obsessed with the dream of creating my own video games. And I have been creating small-scale video games and attempting Game Jams for over 3 years.
I started my journey solo and eventually had the opportunity to work with teams of up to five people. During this period, I learned how to collaborate with teammates, and discovered how to build a common vision for the product while bringing our idea to life.
I jumped into the field through coding in Unity. My main focus was on coding and a little bit on game designing for 2 years while I was still a part of my previous team. My main focus and strengths changed over time, but coding never left the table.
Although I'm not a professional 2D artist, I have a basic grasp of drawing just enough to communicate simple concepts to my team. On the other hand, I am stronger at 3D when it comes to asset creation. I can use Blender for modeling and have some basic understanding of 3D animation.
For the past 2 years, I've established a main focus on spesific subgenres. Content Design is the current field in which I am eager to improve my skills from now on. More specifically, Level design, Gameplay design, and Game Combat Design are the disciplines that drive me.
I've participated in ten Game Jams, three of which are offline. Game Jams are my favorite places where I improve myself and meet some amazing people. I'm currently working on a game from one of my recent Game Jam projects. My plan is to turn it into a full-scale video game. I'm looking forward to sharpening my skills up to the next level through internships and job opportunities.
Can't wait to see where the future of game development will take me!
I have a strong ability to express my ideas, and shape them around the ideas of my teammates to come up with a shared vision and split the jobs in the order of importance.
I can confidently create custom scripts and game mechanics from scratch mostly using Unity.
I have a strong grasp at creating visual compositions and lighting, combined with my gameplay designing ability allowing me to create environments that both look good and work functionally.
Storyboarding is my favorite way of communication when it comes to expressing your vision to your teammates just like concept arts.
I am able to create 3D assets and environments that are compatible with video games, and rig and animate them for actual use.
Whenever I attend any Game Jam, my favorite period is always the first hours. I can confidently design gameplay loops and the overall experience of the game.
